Introducing Feather to the Cave

Moon had a load of feathers in her mouth and brought Feather to the back of the Cave of Pointed Stones. Once they made a nest, Moon walked back. She stopped and looked over shoulder. "I need to show you something."

''yes?''Feather mewed,following Moon anxiously.

Moon brought her into another small tunnel way and brought her to a cave, with pointed rocks sticking around it and a pool in the middle. The sun made it nice, bright blue. "Welcome to the Cave of Pointed Stones, Feather." she said. "This is where we can communicate with our ancestors."

Feather's eyes became wide.''What do I do with it?''Feather mewed.

"You read the signs presented to you from them here." Moon said. "And interpret them." She sat by the pool. "They come in many different ways. In dreams, items, events...and recently, they told me there is more of a reason for you wanting to be a To-be Healer than just an interest and a knack for herbs."

OOC: (your mom...?)

''What do you mean?''Feather mewed,confused.




OOC:she doesn't remember her mother.

OOC: Oh, well this makes it interesting...

IC: "You came to the Tribe as a young kit, and I'm wondering if the reason...if your father and mother?" Moon wondered aloud. "Did you know them?"

''My father was a cave-guard and my mother was a ...a....well,i don't know what my mom was,
i don't know my mom,i still know my dad though...''Feather mewed.

"You're mother is dead, isn't she?" Moon asked. "That's why you have a good connection with the Tribe of Endless Hunting, isn't it?"

''Yes.my mother commited suicide,that's what my father told me.''Feather mewed.




OPOC:her mother died giving birth to her.

"Hm." Moonpaw thought aloud. "That's interesting...Did your father say how?"




OOC: Aww, sad.

''No.''Feather mewed.''He didn't say why either.''

"Interesting..." Moon mewed, seeming as if she was half in thought. "I wonder...this is more rare, but did your mother die when she was kitting?" (giving birth to cats is 'kitting')

''Gosh...I don't know...''Feather merwed.

"I guess there are many answers, but the answer may never be clear." she said. "Lay down and press your nose to the water." Moon instructed her. "Maybe the Tribe of Endless Hunting will present you with the answer."

''Okay...''Feather mewed,following her given instructions.


OOC:now what?

OOC: You can either have a dream (totally up to you what happens), or not...

Moon sat patiently.

Feather suddenly dissapeared into a dream.She saw a white she-cat[her mother]and a black
tom[her father].the she cat was struggling to give birth,but finally,a small white kitten apeared,
[herself]and the older white she-cat started brething heavily,slower and slower,then,she
stopped breathing then and there.the tom rapidly licked the kit then carried it away.
Feather woke up at this time,and tears were running down her cheek.

Moonpaw saw Feather almost crying, and laid by her, trying to comfort her. "What did you see?" Moon finally asked.

Feather explained the dream,in a harsh whisper.after she was finished she added,
''It's my fault she's dead!''

"What are you talking about?" Moon said. "It may not happen often, but death in kitting is natural. Everyone dies at some point, you know that." Moon tried to sound comforting, but she knew whatever she said couldn't help the new To-be.

''Even if you are right,I-I just can't believe I'll never see her again.''Feather mewed.
then she sniffled a bit.''I miss her.Even though I've never met her.''

Moon pressed against Feather, trying to comfort her. "I know." Moon said softly. "But if she walks with the Tribe, you might see her sometime." she said. "I know I've met my dead father. He got killed by an eagle trying to pick him up. The talons killed him when they pierced his skin. I was a kit."

''Heh-heh I remember once when my father called me Feather that blows as high as the
clouds.That must've been my mothers name.''Feather mewed.

"That's something to remember her by." Moon said. "You have a very close name to her. And by what I hear, you look just like her."
