Moon shrugged. "As a former mentor, and with shortened training, I expect I'll see you around still."

''Yeah...''Feather mewed.

"See you later, Feather." Moon said. She padded out and went to see the kits play to be sure one didn't hurt the other (Swift and Acorn especially).

( lol ) Swift looked up at her. He laid back down and fell asleep

Moon padded out and went to her den. She fell asleep.

Fog almost pounced right on top of Moon. "Moon, wanna go hunting!?" he purred.

Moon blinked her eyes slowly up at him. "Sure, just give me a few more moments." she said resting her head on her paws.

"But let's go now! We can bring the To-bes! Pebble and Acorn and Swift and Cloud. All the to-bes!" he said. "Come on, pleeeaaase!?"

"Go get them, I'll meet you by the waterfall." she said, finally giving in. She slowly got up as Fog ran to the To-bes den. Moon padded to the waterfall and waited for them.

Fog shook each To-be until they were all up. "Come on guys! Wake up, we have a special assignment for you all!" He planned to have a Prey-hunter and a Cave-guard or two go on their own hunting party. He and Moon would sneak to watch and report to Feather about their progress.

Acorn laughed. Him and Moon were a riot. "HAHAHA! GO TO YOUR LITTLE MATE AND BRING HER!! HAHAHAHA! I BET SHE WILL BE DELIGHTED!!!" She mewed, laughing loudly. "I don't need to come and neither do us kits. You have you're little sugar plum right ther- HAHAHAAAA!!!" She laughed her tail off.

"You're a To-be Cave-guard so stop acting like a kit and do this assignment!" Fog yelled. "Or I'll have to tell Feather that you aren't training well and she'll hold off your ceremonies until you're perfect at your job!" He calmed down. "This is like an assessment. You'll be tested on what you know how to do." He turned to Swift. "Swift, you get to leave it early, since you proved half of what you know already by guarding Acorn." He gave Acorn a hostile look. "And she's not my mate!"
Yet...he thought.

Moon heard something and went to check it out. Fog was trying to get the To-bes together. "Guys, this is like a big test. You don't do it, you fail." she said. "Acorn, you might as well not go since you've caused too much trouble, but it wouldn't be as fair. One false move and you fail, Acorn. Anyway, here's how it will go." she began to explain. "One prey-hunter will go with one Cave-guard on a hunting party to test your skills. We'll report on your progress to Feather. Pebble, go with Swift. Dawn with Cloud. Star with Acorn. This means we can't give Swift up early."

OOC: He told me beforehand, if you're wondering how I know this stuff.

"Hurry up! We can't wait all day!" Fog said, going around to make sure everyone was up.

Acorn shook her head. "You said she wasn't your mate. Thats not what i've heard." She twitched her ears. "And I don't need orders from a rogue." She spat. "And i've been trying to explore the moutains when I WAS a kit....how do you think I felt when Moon always bossed me around!? When I always had to be carried by the scruff whenever I leave the nursery. But you.... You got the chance to explore anywhere and you wasted it coming to the tribe. And i'm ashamed for you." She continued. She didn't care how much trouble she was going to be in. "Have I proven myself to you all? I have been. Since I was a kit...." Acorn sighed. "And look where thats gotten me. Everyone hates me!" She said again. She shook her head and looked at the ground. "I'm not fit to be a cave-guard. Or even be in the tribe." She cried. She ran out of the tribe and looked back once. "And don't even try to stop me since you don't care!" She cried. "I want to explore the mountains!" Acorn said once more, then she ran again.

"Acorn!" Moon called. When Acorn disappeared, she looked guiltily at her paws. "This is all my fault." she said. "I kept her away from what she wanted so she could be here, and thanks to me, she's gone." she cried, her voice faltering. She ran off, away from the To-bes, from Fog, everyone. She just wanted to be alone. If she had kits, would they have done this? She shook her head and kept running. She found herself on a hill, not being able to see the Tribe and lay down. She just cried. They lost a To-be because of her and her efforts to keep Acorn safe.

"Moon!" Fog called after her. He ran off in the direction of Acorn, and eventually caught up to her. "Acorn, I'm sorry, okay?" he apologized. "I overreacted. I just wanted to see how you guys were doing with training, and...call me a rogue all you want. Moon told me she tried to keep you safe since you were a kit, from being killed by a bear or a hawk. She was protecting you, like she would for a kit of her own. She did her best, and now she's gone. I hope you're happy." he said, running off to find Moon.

Acorn sighed after Fog ran off. Was she happy? No. She wasn't. The only thing that did make her happy was....the tribe. Not the mountains. But she stayed and found shelter in a tree hole. She slept in there, hoping that she won't wake. She will starve herself. Until bad things happen. Acorn sighed. Until she was crow-food.

Fog came running to her and laid down. "Fog...I'm the reason why she left. I can't get her back now...She was like my kit. I guess my efforts were useless in the end." She got up and went back to the Tribe with Fog. Moon went into Feather's den and got some poppy seeds. She would spend the night here.

Would they try to get her back? Her real mother treated Acorn like she was nothing. Moon never knew that. After a while, Acorn thought about her real mom. No. She wasn't a mom. Moon was literally like one. Acorn jumped out and finally ran back towards camp. For the first time ever, Acorn ran at Moon and called her, "Mom".

"Mom?" Moon asked. "Did you really just call me Mom?" She was shocked. She would do the motherly job, if Acorn had really said what she thought she heard.

Acorn was crying and then she put her head on Moon's shoulder. Then she repeated, "Yes, I did, Mom."

Moon purred and licked Acorn, hoping it would calm her down. "You want some poppy seeds too? It will clam you down." she asked.

"Did I hear something about 'Mom'?" Fog interrupted.
